Plain English, because you should be able to read this in two minutes and know exactly what happens to what you send me.

Who I am

This site belongs to Xavi Santos, an independent tattoo artist working at Tattooed Theory, 807 Williamson Rd, Mooresville, North Carolina. I am the only person who reads what you send through this website. Reach me at contact@artxavi.com.

What the booking form collects

When you send a booking request, you give me your name, email address and phone number, plus whatever you choose to tell me about the tattoo — style, placement, size, your description, an Instagram handle if you add one, and any reference or placement photos you attach.

I ask for all of it for one reason: to answer you properly and plan the piece. Nothing on that form is used for anything else.

One thing to be aware of

Please don't send me medical details, photographs of anyone other than yourself, or anything you would not want sitting in an email inbox. If a health condition affects your appointment, tell me in person or on the phone rather than in the form.

Where it goes

The form is handled by Netlify, the company that hosts this website. Your submission is stored in my account there and a copy is emailed to me. That is the whole journey — it doesn't pass through a marketing platform, a CRM, or anyone else.

I keep enquiries while we're talking and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. If you'd like yours deleted sooner, email me and I'll do it.

I do not sell your information

Not to anyone, for any amount. I don't share it with other artists, studios, or advertisers, and I don't add you to a mailing list. If I ever want to show a photo of your tattoo publicly, I'll ask you first.

Analytics and advertising

Like most websites, this one uses two measurement tools:

The Meta Pixel has a setting switched on called advanced matching. If you submit the booking form, it takes your name, email and phone, scrambles them into an irreversible code in your own browser, and sends that code — never the details themselves — to Meta. Meta compares it against its own accounts to work out which advert brought you here. I do this so I can stop paying for advertising that doesn't work.

Both tools set cookies. If you'd rather not be counted, browser settings, private browsing and ad blockers all prevent it, and the site works exactly the same either way.

What I can't control

This site links out to Instagram and Google Maps. Once you follow one of those links you're on their platform under their rules, not mine.

Children

I don't tattoo minors and this site isn't meant for them. I don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.

Your choices

Ask me and I will tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No forms, no process — just email contact@artxavi.com and I'll sort it.

Changes

If this policy changes I'll update the date at the top. Nothing here is a contract; the terms of an actual booking — deposits, rescheduling, payment — are on the main page.
